Explore how Christ clothes us in His righteousness, covering our shame, swaddling us in His love, and surrounding us with His presence. Learn how to stand firm against the enemy’s schemes, reclaim your spiritual identity, and boldly declare, “Gimme my robe back!” Inspired by biblical truths and scriptures, this message will encourage you to walk confidently in the victory of Christ.

Isaiah 64:6 tells us, “All our righteous acts are like filthy rags,” a humbling reminder that no matter how “good” we think we are, we fall short of God’s perfection. But thanks be to God for Jesus Christ, who offers us His own righteousness! Through His sacrifice, we are clothed—not in our efforts or achievements, but in the pure and spotless garment of His grace and righteousness. Hallelujah! When we are clothed in Christ’s righteousness, we are:

1. Covered: Being clothed means we are covered. Jesus’ righteousness shields us from the penalty of sin, just as the blood of the lamb covered the Israelites during the Passover (Exodus 12:13). Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that it is by grace through faith we are saved, not by works. Our spiritual “covering” is not something we earn—it is a gift! When the prodigal son returned home, his father didn’t shame him. Instead, he covered him with a robe, which symbolized restoration and acceptance (Luke 15:22). In the same way, Christ covers our shame and restores us to a place of honor in His family.

2. Swaddled: To be swaddled is to be wrapped securely, like a newborn baby wrapped in love and protection. Psalm 91:4 declares, “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge.” Jesus surrounds us with His love and holds us close, even in our brokenness. Just as a mother comforts her child, God tenderly wraps us in His care. When we rest in Him, we experience peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). His righteousness not only secures our salvation but also anchors our hearts during life’s storms.

3. Surrounded: Being clothed in righteousness means we are completely surrounded by His presence. Zechariah 3:3-5 paints a powerful picture of this: Joshua, the high priest, stood before the Lord in filthy clothes, symbolizing sin. But God commanded that his dirty garments be removed and replaced with rich robes. This exchange shows how God surrounds us with His holiness, making us new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The devil wants to strip us of this identity—both literally and spiritually. He seeks to uncover our vulnerabilities and lead us back into shame. But through Christ, we can boldly declare, “Gimme my robe back!”

Reclaiming Your Robe

The enemy’s tactics haven’t changed since the Garden of Eden. He convinced Adam and Eve to disobey God, leaving them exposed and ashamed (Genesis 3:7). But God, in His mercy, made garments to cover them (Genesis 3:21). Today, Jesus provides the ultimate covering—His righteousness. Don’t let the enemy convince you to take off your robe through guilt, sin, or spiritual compromise. Instead, stand firm in your identity as a redeemed child of God.

Declare It Today Say it with boldness:

  • I am covered by the blood of Jesus!
  • I am swaddled in His love and grace!
  • I am surrounded by His righteousness!

Let the truth of Romans 8:1 encourage you: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” When the enemy tries to accuse you or remind you of your past, point to your robe of righteousness and remind him who you belong to. Walk confidently in your royal robe. You are clothed in the righteousness of Christ, not because of anything you’ve done, but because of everything He has done. Hold your head high, keep your robe on, and let His glory shine through you.

“I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness.” – Isaiah 61:10

Gimme my robe back, devil—because I’m walking in victory!

Isaiah 49:25 TPT For I will fight with those who fight with you and I myself will save your children!

As peace is established in you, the enemy will look for alternative ways to agitate you. If he can no longer disturb your peace with what typically gets you bent out of shape, trust and believe, he’s going to try in every other way!  Ephesians 6 lets us know that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood! Therefore, we know it's not the person, physically, that we’re fighting, it's the evil and demonic spirit the person is allowing to work inside of them.

Genuinely moving into a healed position actually agitates the enemy, and trust, he takes low blows. One of his cheap shots is using children as a pawn in his deliberately evil schemes. Typically, we want to protect our children from hurt, harm, and danger; and most of us do our best to ensure their safety. But how do we manage the comfort of their well-being when circumstances are out of our control, our children are not in our presence, or worse, the danger is coming from the other parent!

You trust God! In Isaiah 49:25, God promises to fight with those who fight with us and save our children. Below, I took the liberty of sharing my studies and prayer surrounding the scripture:

Fight:      to be involved in a battle, struggle, etc; to defeat an enemy; to attempt to prevent the success or effectiveness of

Synonyms: battles, combat, war, conflict

Hebrew definition: #7378 riyb- to strive, to contend; to toss, rebuke, to defend, chide (scold or rebuke).

Save:     keep safe or rescue (someone or something) from harm or danger

Synonyms: rescue, free, deliver, snatch

Hebrew definition: #3467 yasha- to deliver, to be safe, to free or succor (give assistance or aid to), defend, bring salvation, GET VICTORY!

Prayer: Father, your word is magnificently true. There is no in between the truth and a lie within your word. Contend, strive, and battle those allowing the enemy to use them to be at war with me, and God I'm bringing your word back to you about the salvation of my children. God, you said that you yourself will save, rescue, and get the victory for my children! Lord I trust your word. You are a promise keeper and you're not a man that you should lie. The enemy is defeated in the name of your son Jesus Christ!

Suga, let me tell you! People will make it their business to attempt to erroneously discredit you with ignorant zeal and disdain! The enemy creates opportunities for those who are lost and lead astray; soliciting them to do his dirty work! Satan is the accuser of the brethren (Revelations 12:10), and He will use the mouth of anyone who is willing to spew his hate, anger, and bitterness towards you!

The devil is jealous, envious, and hates who you are in Christ! In fact, he hates everything about you! So much so, that his entire intent is to kill, steal and destroy you (John 10:10)! Literally! However, we know he needs the assistance of those willing to help him out! They take on his character and many of his attributes, vocalizing and acting out his indecent behavior! Attempting to stand up against you, but nothing can stand up against the Truth!

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)! The same Holy Spirit that was with Jesus as He walked this earth is on the inside of you! STAND! Devils and demons must bow down at the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:10)! STAND! Stand tall and stand strong, in the name of Jesus! And watch the enemy flee like a scared dog with his tail between his legs!

Understand your authority and dominion over Satan and his minions! They belong under your feet, not on your back, in your face, or between your legs! UNDER YOUR FEET! Walk in the sovereignty God placed on the inside of you! Yes, you are sovereign, made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27)! You are the daughter of The King! Reign supreme over every ill word spoken against you and every foul action toward you!

Act out the grace that saved you and be who God called you to be! I AM Jasmine Moore; I AM God’s gift; presented to the world in His image and likeness!

BE! Take (your) place, ARISE.
